What a show! We purchased tickets so that my elder parent could experience a show while visiting us from California. When purchasing online, I included a note about her mobility and how I hoped that our chosen seats provided easy access to a restroom, so she wouldn't have to take the stairs. A.R.T. staff contacted me directly and moved us to seats that worked beautifully for my mother and allowed her easier access to a restroom. Bravo, A.R.T. You made a fun experience easy!

Not our first show here, but saw “The Half-God of Rainfall” and it was spectacular. We try to catch as many as shows as we can. Always a great time, and disability friendly.

I watched Real Women have Curves and it was excellent, the best musical I've seen in years! It is insightful and heartwarming and the women's voices are beautiful and powerful.

This is a great smaller venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Cafe offers a good menu at reasonable prices. Ample parking around the area - meters or pay-to-park and pay lots. Prices for shows are very reasonable.

I just saw Real Women Have Curves. It is amazing & everyone should go see it! Also, their seats are so much more comfortable than others around the area. For parking, I recommend parking at the University Place Garage because the person at the information desk told me it's $14 or $16 for up to 5 hours. I parked at the Charles Square Garage, and I was charged $31 (original/before validation price was $35). Wish I knew about this earlier, but the theatre unfortunately does not keep up with the garage rates so they didn't have this information.

The acting, staging, lighting, etc were all excellent, but the play itself, ‘Half-God of Rainfall’ was not at all enjoyable. It was not boring, but it did not make a lot of sense to me. The main point was obfuscated by the attempt to mix Greek mythology with basketball. I would not recommend it to the general, theater-going crowd.

After excitedly waiting for weeks to see Evita, I arrived to the theater at 1:25 for a 2pm matinee in the pouring rain, only to find out from a patron standing outside the theater that an usher has just announced the performance was cancelled due to COVID. No email prior to the show. No one from the theater trying to support and guide patrons who were huddled outside, trying to figure out what was happening. No acknowledgement from the theater. We went inside to confirm, and a frustrated usher told us that last night had been the last show (as if we were somehow expected to know that?) and it was cancelled, nothing they could do, we’d receive an email for a refund. So I guess I’ll never know what the ART is like, and if I’d recommend a show, but I’m highly disappointed and frustrated with how they handled the situation. Sending an email an hour and 40 minutes AFTER the show was supposed to start is insulting. Yes, they can’t control COVID, but they can control how they respond and treat patrons.
